Prague disco clubs

If you are in Prague and want to dance there is big choice of night disco clubs where you can go out dancing or sip on a cocktail while having a cigar. No matter if you want a bit of a dance or some serious clubbing, you’ll find everything in Prague.

Karlovy Lazne (with its 5 clubs with a different music style on 5 floors) is the largest dance music club in Czech Republic and probably the biggest establishment of its type in Central Europe. It stands just 50 meters from the Old Town end and 100 metres from Charles Bridge on the Vltava River’s bank. You will have choice of MC Music Cafe (with free internet access) - black music (hip-hop, rap & RnB); Discotheque (with futuristic design) - latest dance-floor disco hits; Kaleidoskop - 60’s to 80’s immortal music hits; Paradogs - all styles of electronic dance music (house, trance, techno). The typical visitor of this Karlovy Lazne club is between 16 and 22 years old. Usually there is more for foreigners than local people and this club is overcrowded.

Also a very worthy Prague club Radost (Czech for “Joy”) is an eclectic mix of nightclub, cocktail bar, art gallery and vegetarian cafe, the decor is lush and rich, the clientele sexy and stylish. It hosts to leading DJs from the UK and Europe and also local talents. It was one of the first Prague clubs that offered house, techno and R&B music after the Velvet revolution. The crowd at Radost club is mixed in terms of nationality, age, profession and attitude.

Duplex Dance Club is the most exclusive club in Prague designed as a giant cube, built on the roof (6th & 7th floor), set in very heart of Prague alongside the famous Wenceslas Square. Besides nightclub Duplex during the day is an ideal location for a coffee and snack. At night Mecca transforms into terrific party place. This Prague club was awarded with membership of the World Finest Clubs and is visited by celebrities - Mick Jagger celebrated his 60th here. This club is open from Wednesday to Saturday. There are two platforms, chill out zones, five bars, great sound, lights and highly trained staff provide you with a comfort you would expect.

Mecca club is a large, industrial dance club that draws a techno and house-loving crowd and from 2000 it started to be one of the best music clubs in the world and welcomed many Czech and world-renowned DJs, singers and other stars. Found in Prague’s mostly industrial Holesovice district, Mecca club is Holesovice itself, the area that still houses a good share of factories and warehouses. Mecca don’t need to worry about keeping locals awake and can crank out music all night.

Palace Akropolis is becoming well known worldwide and extremely popular Zizkov complex houses a restaurant, cafe, a large concert space, and two bars. In this cosmopolitan place with an original atmosphere you can understand the Czech identity better. Palace Akropolis is a leading scene for world and ethnic music in Prague. It has venue’s unique position within the aforementioned music genre and that’s why interest of the public is growing.
